I imagine there is too much traffic. 9-11-01 - In my yard and down the drive some of the interesting birds were: 5 Cape May Warblers (first for fall), 22+ Chestnut-sided Warblers, 15+ Magnolia Warblers, 2 Common Yellowthroats, 2 Northern Parula, 4 Pine Warblers, 11 American Redstarts (2 adult males), 1 Palm Warbler (western, first for fall), 2 Blackpoll Warblers (first for fall), 5 Black-and-white Warblers, 1 Red-breasted Nuthatch, 1 Baltimore Oriole, 2+ Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, 1-2 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds. I decided that my yard was so good I would check out Point Lookout State Park. I arrived at 9:30 and did not see a lot, but it complemented what I had seen at home nicely. I only birded the very point and Fort Lincoln. 6 Magnolia Warblers, 1 Prairie Warbler, 2 Blackburnian Warblers, 7 American Redstarts, 4 Palm Warblers (2 Western, 1 Yellow, 1?), 1 Yellow-breasted Chat, 1 Ovenbird, 1 Mourning Warbler (first for fall), 3 Chestnut-sided Warblers, 4 Black-and-white Warblers, 3 Gray Catbirds, 6 House Wrens, 1 Merlin (first for fall), 4 Eastern Kingbirds, 1 empid, and others. 9-12-01 in my yard.
