This was the 1st = time this fall that I've had any numbers of Monarch Butterflies at the = small woods near the lighthouse. Thousands of Monarchs, a few Red = Admirals, and numerous Buckeyes were feeding on the abundant Goldenrod. = The persimmons appear to be almost ripe probably 2 weeks or so. The = Baccharis is almost ready to bloom and with the favorable NE winds this = past 4 days butterfly numbers have really increased. The only migrant = bird I saw was 1 immature American Redstart (female). Good Birding, = Marty Cribb, Point Lookout, St Mary's Co, Md ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
