Wrong. Bayside was very slow with only a couple of Redstarts and 4 Baltimore Orioles. The highlight was a flock of 30 Black Skimmers that came out of the cove and flew right under our noses as we stood at the point. Also a Spotted Sand at the point. The Forest Trail was a bit better with RB Nut, a Black Throated Blue, a Black & White, and 2 'Sycamore' Yellow Throated Warblers. West Ocean City Pond has overgrown to the point where it is very difficult to see. From what we could peek through the branches, we had at least 16 Little Blue Herons, 1 Louisiana, 2 Cattle Egrets and Black-Crowned Nights that are now roosting in the trees along the road. Ducks included Mallard, BW Teal, GW Teal, Woodies, Shoveler and 1 Pintail. Also 4 Pied-Billed Grebes. On to Selbyville to find 1 Eurasian Collared Dove at the corner of Williams St and 54. We scouted the nearby roads in MD, but no luck. At Assawoman, we added a couple of nice birds. A Philadelphia Vireo on the first trail near the entrance and a Bay-Breasted Warbler at the intersection of the road to Strawberry Landing. In all, we tallied 75 species so it was quality over quantity.
