Little Bennett, 9/16 (7:30 - 10:30 am): Black-throated green (many), Magnolia, Chestnut-sided, Black-and-white, Blackburnian, American Redstart, Common Yellowthroat, along with Swainson's thrush. Other birders also reported seeing Canada, Tennessee, and Bay-breasted. Rock Creek Park, 9/17 (7:15 - 8:30 am): Black-throated green, Magnolia, Black-and-white, American Redstart, Black-throated blue, Nashville, Common Yellowthroat. In the non-warbler department, Brown Thrasher and Rose- breasted Grosbeak. At Little Bennett, the warblers came in two waves. The first (around 7:30 am) was interesting as it consisted almost entirely of Black-throated greens along with chickadees and titmice. The second (around 10 am) was a more typical mix.
