Tyler Bell bell@acnatsci.org California, MD - RBA * Massachusetts * September 17, 2001 - Birds mentioned BOREAL CHICKADEE Two or three BOREAL CHICKADEES were seen on Saturday near the summit of Mt. Watatic in Ashburnham, another was found this morning on Mt. Tom in Holyoke, and at least two others were seen not far over the state line in New Hampshire. BOREAL CHICKADEE is an irruptive species in the way that some northern finches are, and these recent sightings may represent early indications that a flight of BOREAL CHICKADEES is currently underway. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
