We had a slow start. Nothing at the point and picnic areas, but eventually we found some migrants in the Fort Lincoln area which included: 24 Baltimore Orioles, 2 Orchard Orioles, 1 Black-throated Blue Warbler (male), 5 Red-eyed Vireos, 1 Chipping Sparrow, 1 Ruby-throated Hummingbird, 3 Magnolia Warblers, 2-3 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks (female plumed), 6 Northern Parulas, 3 Pine Warblers, 8 American Redstarts (1 adult male), 10 Black-and-white Warblers, 1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (first of season for either of us), 1 Downy Woodpecker, 5 House Wrens, 8 Blue Grosbeaks, 2 Indigo Buntings, 6 Veery, 2 Yellow-billed Cuckoo (1 adult & 1 immature), about 30 Gray Catbirds, 10 Brown Thrashers, 1 Wood Thrush, 4 Chimney Swifts, 2 Eastern Wood-Pewees, 1-2 Acadian Flycatchers, 1 Trail's, 1 Great Crested Flycatcher. Before leaving home I saw: 1 Yellow-billed Cuckoo (juv.), 2 Bay-breasted Warblers, 1 Canada Warbler, 2 Black-throated Green Warblers, 1 Black-and-white Warbler, 10 American Redstarts (1 adult male), 8 Magnolia Warblers and 1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet.
