While looking at some = Wood Ducks a juvenile PURPLE GALLINULE flew out from the vegetation at = the edge of the lake to the lilly pads. After viewing the bird for a = few minutes I left to get my camera. When I returned, you guessed it, I = was unable to find the bird. I had been considering buying a small digital camera to shoot through my = binoculars for just such an occasion. I have now resolved to do so. For those interested in looking for this bird the location on the lake = where I saw it was as follows: When you approach the lake from the parking lot go to the left. You will = soon see some Wood Duck boxes. Go past the last nest box for about 20 = yards. Good luck. wade stephen Greenbelt PG WSTEPEN@PRODIGY.NET ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
