( Maybe tomorrow will be THE DAY. ) It began with an early pair of PERGRINE FALCONS.. The male left fairly quickly, but the female stayed and hunted for at least 1/2 hr, providing awesome looks. A third flew through a little later. A total of 5 MERLINS came screaming through, and 4 KESTRELS came overhead in their meandering way. Others were: 3 BALD EAGLES, 4 RED-TAILED, 2 BROAD-WINGED, 2 COOPERS HAWK, 11 SHARPIES, and 5 TV. The search for warblers was somewhat hampered by a SHARPIE, who was also searching! A group effort produced: BLACK-THROATED GREEN, BLACKBURNIAN, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, NASHVILLE, REDSTART, MAGNOLIA, and BLACK/WHITE. Other passerine migrants included SCARLET TANAGER, ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, PEEWEE, PHOEBE and RED-EYED/WHITE-EYED VIREO.
