The meeting place is at the Bowie Park & Ride at 7:30 AM. This half-day trip will hopefully feature some fall migrants, plus some scub habitat species. I've seen many great birds there over the past three years, including (at various times of the year) Worm Eating Warblers, many Prairie Warblers, Chat, Indigo Bunting, Scarlet Tanager, Cuckoos, Yellow Throated Vireo, flyover loons & hawks, a family of Wild Turkey, plus Hooded Warblers, Black & White Warbler, and a pair of Kentucky Warbler (once). Nightime and twi-light birds have included Whip-poor-will, several gregarious Barred Owls, and last Saturday night I had my first calling Eastern Screech Owl there. There are many miles of dirt trails traversing the various scrub/second growth, mature forest, and wetland habitat. Hope to see you there!
