The warblers and sparrows were active and easy to see in the sheltered spots. We had 3 vireo species - WHITE EYE, RED EYE and BLUE-HEADED. Warblers were TENNESSEE, NASHVILLE, MAGNOLIA, BTB, BTG, PALM, B & W, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT and our first YELLOW-RUMPED for the fall. We also had a few ROSE BREASTED GROSBEAKS and a single PURPLE FINCH. Sparrows were diverse with the first numbers of WHITE-THROATS, SONG, CHIPPY, FIELD, SWAMP and a single SAVANNAH. Paul M. left our walk early and on his way out of the park found a LINCOLN'S. Our only thrush was a SWAINSON'S but we didn't spend much time in the woods. The hawk movement was good with OSPREY, SHARPIE, COOPERS, RED-TAIL, RED-SHOULDERED and KESTRELS. While we sat and tallied our list we had a fly-over RED-HEADED WOODPECKER. A group of us decide to check Greenbridge and struck out there with only 2 LEAST and KILLDEER. We did have awesome looks at adult BALD EAGLE, OSPREY, RED-TAIL, SHARPIE, COOPERS and BROAD-WING.
