The watch began in 1994. Complete data is not yet available for 9/30, but Candi Lee reported that over 150 raptors had been counted when she left at 11 AM on Sunday. Will forward details when available. I anticipate some nice flights of Red-shouldered hawks within then next few weeks. Totals for 2001 put us about on par for 2000 totals. Seasonal data below includes through 9/29, 86 count hours, 1,021 raptors total: BV- 2 TV- 69 OS- 68 BE- 67 NH- 5 SS- 569 CH- 39 RS- 14 BW- 103 RT- 24 AK- 36 ME- 7 PG- 3 UU- 15 Leslie Fisher Watch Coordinator ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
