Feeders are very active with abundant Goldfinches. Titmice cleaning out the whole peanut feeder in 20 minutes! I was excited to see a female SUMMER TANAGER in the tulip tree among 50 Cedar Waxwings. Soon afterward a PEREGRINE FALCON powered over at 6:00 p.m., followed by a COMMON NIGHTHAWK. Closer to dusk I was watching two SAPSUCKERS flycatching and spotted a young male BALTIMORE ORIOLE. Out sparrowing this morning a RUSTY BLACKBIRD flew over. BLUE GROSBEAK and BOBOLINKS in the fields with hundreds of delightful sparrows.
