These are the first males I've spotted at the pond as there were several females last week. Also present was the immature Black Crowned Night Heron, an adult female Magnolia Warbler, male Common Yellowthroat, female Redstart, 2 Great Egrets, 1 Great Blue Heron, 7 Wood Ducks, 1 Red Shouldered Hawk, and 1 Pied Billed Grebe (plus the usual geese, mallards, & mute swan). Yesterday in Overbrook Park (Bowie), I had 5 Black Throated Green Warblers, 3 White Throated Sparrows, plus my first Ruby Crowned and Golden Crowned Kinglets of the season.
