Turned up 4 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS. Over a hundred SWAMP SPARROWS, the best numbers so far this fall. SONG SPARROWS were also in high numbers with a hundred+. SAVANNAHS were down a little with 40 birds. WHITE-CROWNS, FIELDS and CHIPPING in small numbers. WHITE-THROATS are increasing daily and I found my first fall JUNCO. No luck in relocating the clay colored but did get a fleeting glimpse of the NELSONS. PIPIT numbers were way up with 60-70 birds flying over. A lone BOBOLINK and a couple MEADOWLARKS. A single BLUE GROSBEAK, INDIGO BUNTING, REDSTART and NASHVILLE and one lone COMMON SNIPE. Came home to an adorable CHIPPY on the feeder.
