Those familiar with the Big Sit!, organized by the New Haven, CT, Bird Club may have noticed we're a week out of sync with the international event. We have, however, reached an accomdation with our friends at New Haven and our results will be included in the final tally. The total species was 51 or 52, mostly the usual suspects. Highlights were 1 Gadwall, female Abundant Sharp-shinned Hawks 2 Merlin 1 Palm Warbler abundant Yellow-rumped Warbler 1-2 Common Yellowthroat The Gadwall was most cooperative, gave good looks, and was present all day. With luck it will linger until tomorrow.
