O.K., I'll go down here! On most of the list-serves to which I belong, the "top-post" is the commonest, and seemingly preferred way to answer, so I would question that if is a "gaffe". That is a preference. Since you are the list-owner, obviously you can ask that this not be done, but please don't call it a gaffe. Usually the subject line is all I need to see, and I prefer the reply to be at the top. I do strongly support the clipping of the quotes, though I usually haven't done this, since most of the members of the other list serves do not - not a good reason! Regardless of the above, please know that your service in providing this list is greatly appreciated.
