We had a "multi-county" group with folks from all over. There were a good number of sparrows in the lower field. Great looks and comparisons on SWAMP/SONG/FIELD/WHITE-THROAT/CHIPPING. A single WHITE-CROWN, numerous yellow-rumps, palms and a couple lingering common yellowthroats. A flyover PIPIT, plenty of eastern bluebirds and both species of kinglets. The raptors were exciting with a MERLIN that flew into snag and perched for great scope views. Over a dozen sharpies moving overhead. A single late BROAD-WING and a HARRIER. I checked lake Elkhorn this afternoon. Lots of mud but no shorebirds. A single great egret. 2 ruddy ducks, 3 coots and a single ring-necked duck (f).
