Sparrows were the "bird du jour" as is usual at this site: 50+ Swamps, ca. 250 Songs, ca. 100 Whitethroats, 15 Field, 15 Chipping, 2 Savannah and one Vesper, as well as 4 Juncoes. (Surprisingly, no White-crowneds). Other species of interest included ca. 15 Palm Warblers (two Western), 3 Yellowthroats, 2 Myrtle, 4 Towhees, 1 Brown Thrasher, 1 Phoebe, 3 Ruby-crowned Kinglets and Golden-crowned heard, 1 Blue-headed Vireo, 1 Sapsucker, two Red-shouldered Hawks, and one Sharpshinned. Lots of Goldfinches, Bluebirds and Robins as well. Unfortunately we didn't see Rick Sussman's Purple Finches but there were lots of places for them to hide!
