37 species seen at Hughes Hollow at mid-day today included:

Red-headed Woodpecker -- 1 juvenile, busy the entire time gathering edibles
and stuffing them into holes in dead trees just past the first impoundment on
the right.

Yellow-bellied Sapsucker -- 3

Eastern Phoebe -- 2

Gray Catbird -- 2 (together)

Winter Wren -- 1

Purple Finch -- 1 female

Fox Sparrow -- 2

Rusty Blackbird -- A half-dozen that might have been part of a larger flock
out of sight in the trees.
