MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit My morning routine came to a momentary standstill this morning as a single Pine Siskin graced my thistle feeder here in Baltimore County for the first time. The female bird arrived with 8 goldfinches and stayed on the feeder for about 15 minutes, determinedly holding her perch against the pushy goldfinches. I've been waiting for this event through several invasion winters and was beginning to wonder if I'd ever see one here. Hope it wasn't just a goldfinch dressed for Halloween.
