Flying over Scotland in a small flock of Canada Geese was a single Snow Goose. There was also a couple of small flocks of American Pipits in the fields numbering 21. 32 Eastern Meadowlarks were also in those fields. At the park flying far out in the bay were scoters to distant to identify. I saw one Oldsquaw and a flock of six Horned Grebes fly in and land a short distance from the causeway. Song Sparrows and Yellow-rumped Warblers were seen in the hundreds, 36 Dark-eyed Junco, 40 + American Goldfinches, but no Pine Siskins. Still hanging in there was one Green Heron feeding in the pond and at least 8 Brown Pelicans in the surrounding waters. Single flyover Red-headed Woodpecker and Rock Dove were a little unusual. At home, 5 or more Purple Finches have been feeding on the sunflower seeds since Sunday, but no Pine Siskins. I also have 150+ Dark-eyed Juncos, 100+ White Throated Sparrows and 12 or more Eastern Towhees. Monday I saw 19 Hermit Thrushes in the woods at my house and my neighbor's. Ten were in one group with four of those in one small Eastern Dogwood.
