We went over to Layhill about 1:30 pm and checked both south and north fields, all the playing fields in between the two soccer areas, as well as all the open areas across the "boy scout" bridge. No Kingbird. Lots of Bluebirds in the south soccer field, where Mike first saw the Kingbird, and a smattering of sparrows, was about it. We left around 3:30 pm. We may check tomorrow although we have some other appointments -- obviously will post if we see anything! Gail Mackiernan and Barry Cooper Colesville, MD p.s. Went to the Zoo today, en route passing the IMMENSE water main break just east of Beach Dr. at Military -- 150" geyser shooting tree-high!. Most of the birds seen at the zoo were not, alas, countable but we did have a late Gray Catbird near the bird house. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
