At the staging site on Leeds Creek beside our house, the evening assembly was up to 4000, whereas it was more like 600-1000 a week ago. Perhaps the birds have assembled in honor of the Easton Waterfowl Festival, which starts tomorrow. This morning a single Ruddy Duck was left on the creek after the thousands of geese left to go feed. Yard birds yesterday (7 Nov) included two Pine Siskins amongst the 20 or more Goldfinches at my feeders, and one Purple Finch. A rather late Osprey flew by here on Nov 6th.
