Waterfowl is moving with an increase in RING-NECKED DUCKS. PIED-BILLED GREBES and COOTS. Both KINGLET species, a lingering GREAT EGRET and 3 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS on the mud flats. 2 flyover PINE SISKINS were heard. A very interesting sighting this morning from my birder neighbor Hank S. He found a BOBWHITE in his side garden. Woke his wife up so she could see it too. They watched it poke in around the brushy areas of the garden before it scooted back to the field area of the power lines adjoining their house. I recall David F. telling me he heard one a few years back and he lives along the same power lines. Now if only it would come on MY side of the neighborhood!! That makes the second species that has been on his side that I have never had on mine- (the first was a Saw-Whet Owl.)
