MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Hi all -- Barry and I just got back from Kenilworth Park, DC, where we also found the Ash-throated Flycatcher in the pm and watched it for about a half-hour. We first located it at about 3:45, and it was not where others have seen it, but along the field/woods edge about 100 yards east of the sumac clump. It was working the edge actively, flying (always eastwards) in small flights of 3-8 feet. Once in a while it would take an insect (we assume from its behavior) or eat a berry. We lost it about 4:20, it was last seen in a large isolated bush just to the left (west) of the mowed path down to the water overlooking Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. This bush is bare but has another bush loaded with red berries right next to it. A very nice bird and we got great looks in the scope! Thanks to Rob Hilton and Lisa Shannon for finding it. Cheers, Gail Mackiernan and Barry Cooper p.s. We did not see the Snow Bunting but since we were not alerted to its being there, did not scutinize all the road and gravelly parking lots. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
