I briefly saw the cream colored underside and brown streaking. Did not see legs, feet or head, so I am not sure what it is. It had a very slender body and long tail, and sharply angled wings. I am still a beginner, so I really could not say with authority what I saw, but it sure was fast. I did not see any prey, but again, it was pretty quick. I also saw a few flaps of the wing which seemed to be at a medium beat before the big swoop. I stayed around for a while looking at the ledges of the building and the tops of the trees but did not spot it again. Hi everyone -- I am leading my annual bird trip to the Lilypons-New Design area Sunday, and this year my plans to scout the area before-hand have been foiled by a canine emergency (in fact we are off to the vet's in a minute). Thus, I wonder if anyone has recently birded that area and has any specific information which might help us find some "goodies." In particular, has anyone been out to the Cap Stein Rd. area recenty? This is a place we traditionally don't visit but would if there were some good birds or good field conditions. Any other help would be greatly appreciated!
