Scanning in my little patch of foxtail I spotted an AMERICAN TREE SPARROW! Only the second time I have ever had one in the yard in 12 years. While I was standing there a PIPIT flew over and a female PURPLE FINCH came down to the feeders. Now I don't feel so bad about having to stay home and catch up on work-now that sparrowtime is over.
