They told me of two Snowy Owls that showed up on Poplar Island around Monday a week ago (11/05/01). On about Tuesday of this past week week (10/13/01), one of the owls was found in distress and eventually died. The other Snowy Owl remained on the island. They were not sure if it was still there though. One of the employees is going to confirm the dates of occurance and whether the other owl still remains on the island. He will get back to me. POPLAR ISLAND IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
