Turn left. This road goes down the hill to the river. In about 2 miles the road crosses Deer Creek. Go over the bridge and immediately turn right onto a dirt road. ( Craig's Corner Rd. ) There is parking along the creek on the right. Walk back across the bridge and onto the trail that is on the right hand side of the road. It is about 2 miles back along this wide, flat, open trail that you come to the end of the parking area for the dam. You can look out to the dam but you can not go into the parking area at this time. There is now a guard house at the gate at the parking lot entrance that is manned 24 hours a day seven days a week currently. The dam is closed until further notice. Also, there is still access to the top pavilion overlooking the dam and river. Charlie Gant met other birders there this past week, and intends to hold his Eagle Watch from this location Leslie Fisher Cecil County ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
