Harris's Sparrow was in position this morning (25 Nov) from 9:00-9:30 a.m. It was feeding on the north side of the woodlot at the tip just south of the restrooms. Still hanging out with Song Sparrows. Other birds of interest included one ad. Northern Gannet and 2 Sanderlings at the point, one Bonaparte's Gull, 10 Forster's Terns, 10 Red-throated and one Common Loon, 1 Horned Grebe, 1 Surf Scoter, 10 Long-tailed Ducks, 45 Bufflehead, two male Com. Goldeneyes, and one flock of 12 flyby scaup (sp.). Pretty slim pickings waterfowl-wise. Others included 1 Cooper's and one Sharp-shinned Hawk and 3 Fox Sparrows and one Brown-headed Nuthatch around Ft. Lincoln. Thanks to Patty and others for the sparrow!
