Other waterfowl seen were 60 or so Ring-necked Ducks, 2 Pied-billed Grebes, and 1 female Canvasback. Excitement of a different sort as I was leaving. Since September 11, local police have always been posted around the reservoir. This morning for the first time, I was asked for my driver's license and registration after I went back to my car. I wasn't really questioned about anything, but I was told I was being checked because I was using binoculars to check out the reservoir.
