Mike (and MDOsprey), The virus-laden messages (of which I have received 5 myself yesterday and today) did *NOT* go out via MDOsprey. There are safeguards in place that keep messages like that from being distributed via the Listserv. What happened was that Greg Downing had a virus on HIS machine which located all of the e-mail addresses stored in HIS e-mail software. The virus used that list to send out the messages to folks on the web. I urge everyone--do not ever trust e-mails with attachments unless they come from someone you know, trust, and are expecting something from. It is better to delete a message without opening it and then drop a note to the person it was from. They can always resend if it was legitimate. Also, get a good firewall program such as ZoneAlarm (free for personal use) and get a good virus detection program (Norton, McAfee, etc.) which will scan incoming e-mails and make sure you keep the virus definitions up to date.
