MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Norm, I went to PLSP this morning for a little while since I was getting requests on information about the sparrow. I had no luck, but I am not sure it was a good test. The weather had the sparrows fairly hunkered down. It was hard to find a White-throated Sparrow, but bird activity was picking up when I left. The last time I saw the Harris's Sparrow was on Monday. It was not feeding that day either and I was just lucky to find it in the tangle behind the smokehouse. When I left there were 3 birders still looking and one said she would post if she found it. Other birds in the area: One American Pipit flushed from the beach, then several flocks flew over totaling 40+, large flocks of Cedar Waxwings, 1 Palm Warbler, 2 Pine Warblers, 14 Bonaparte's Gulls, 3 Brown Pelicans. And, the most interesting, a Ring-billed Gull perched at the tip-top of a small Persimmon tree eating the fruit.
