The count will continue until Nov. 30th, or until the counters wear out. And I must report that we dropped like flies the last week on November! We had literally no count during that week. Poor flights, some health problems and approaching holidays all took a toll. I was very pleased with the season and we had great effort from a core of decicated and crazed counters. It was a pleaure reading reports from other watches around the country and beyond. A Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to hawk watchers everywhere, and here`s to 2002. Below are the seasonal total, except for a few days missing data that might give us 20 more birds or so. Will post when all accumulated. For now: Total raptors: 5200 Count hours: 289 per/hour: 18 BV-51 TV-450 OS-90 BE-205 NH-46 SS-2392 CH-203 NG-4 RS-325 BW-213 RT-886 GE-4 AK-198 ML-49 PG- 20 UR-64 Leslie Fisher Watch Coordinator ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
