Birding was quite unremarkable. No fox or white-crowned sparrows and only a few song, white-throated and field. Lots of bluebirds. I was told that 160 bluebird chicks fledged out of the 64 boxes this year. Did see three Y-B Sapsuckers. I didn't see any Screech Owls, but Ranger Brian Campbell said that lately he has seen the owls in the wood duck boxes at Bunk's Pond and behind the green maintenance barn by the ballfields. Also hooded mergansers are being seen at the pond near the entrance to the ballfields.
