Folks Today I lead seven hardy souls from Allen's Fresh to Cobb Island for the = Southern Maryland Audubon Society. Lots of rain down hear but a few = birds helped us along. Highlights were 8 Northern Gannet at Cobb Island = (CI), one blue form Snow Goose with about 2000 Canada Geese on Lloyd = Point Road, one Bonaparte's Gull at Breeze Point Sewage Treatment Plant = (BPSTP)with 500 Lesser Scaup, 3 Laughing Gulls (two at Morgantown and = one at CI), 9 Forster's Tern's at Morgantown (M), about 300 Cedar = Waxwings at the 301 visitor center near the Harry Nice Bridge, and one = Brown Thrasher on Cobb Island (near the rock jetty). We also had one = immature Bald Eagle at Allen's Fresh (AF) and two adults in a tree along = the side of the road on Rt. 257. Bald Eagles are pretty common in = Charles County. So common I sometime forget to check them off. Come = see.
