After three hours of searching, the Western Kingbird showed up briefly at the spot reported on MDOsprey by Dave Powell on Wednesday. It was about 20 yards north and west of the entrance to the Ingleside Recreation area along the main road. This is opposite a large field on the east side of the road. Park at the closed gate to Ingleside (or across the road in the parking lot just to the south at the entrance to a Wildlife Trail), walk about 20 yards north along the road, and then look west about 30 yard into the tops of some large trees. The bird was sallying in and out of the trees. I went back about 20 minutes later, and again about an hour later and could not find it. It showed up at 12:20 PM (about fifteen minutes after two other birders had to leave). Sorry, Hans.
