I went with Pete Webb and Simon Calle. Just as we pulled over by the recreation area entrance about 9:50AM, the kingbird landed on a telephone line right in front of us! It didn't linger too long, but it returned about 10:30 and stayed in good view for about 20 minutes. It hung out with a group of 5-10 bluebirds, so look for them if you go looking for the kingbird. It's a very handsome, brightly colored bird. I got some digi-scoped pictures which can be viewed at: http://www.geocities.com/bfbooby/WKingbird.html Other than that, waterfowl were quite scarce. There were only about 50 Tundra Swans around the bridge. Bald Eagles are really abundant there. On the way home we went down to Sparks Rd near Stevenson Road in Caroline County and saw 2-3 Lapland Longspurs along with about 200 Horned Larks. we saw a large flock of maybe 1000 Snow Geese flying in the distance as we approached the area. We also checked Duck Puddle Road near Galena, Kent County, but did not see any Snow Buntings. A pond about a quarter-mile east of Galena on the main highway had about 50 Gadwall.
