Saw the following during a Sunday (12/16) afternoon walk up the C & O
Canal towpath from Sycamore Landing to the sod farm (around 1/2 mile) :

Great Black-backed Gull - 1
Red-bellied Woodpecker
Yellow bellied Sapsucker - 4
Downy
Hairy - 1
Flicker
Brown Creeper - 3
Golden-crowned Kinglet - 5
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 1
Hermit Thrush - 1
Robin - Large Flock - 150+
Cedar Waxwing - 8
Red-winged Blackbird
Rusty Blackbird - Large Flock - 150+ (close views as they fed in the wet
Canal bed)

Saw the following on Monday (12/17) at Piscataway Creek at the end of Wharf
Road:

Pied-billed Grebe - 20+
Bald Eagle - 1
Tundra Swan - 40+
Canada Geese
Black Duck
Mallard
Pintail - 2
Shoveler - 6
Gadwall - 50+
Wigeon - 6
Canvasback - 6
Ring-necked  - 30+
Lesser Scaup - 30+
Bufflehead - 100+
Hooded Merganser - 30+
Ruddy - 30+
