It appeared as if they were = looking for a place to set down and feed as the tide was dropping, = however a somewhat heavy surf made for difficult foraging conditions. = The numbers of waterfowl species was very low today with only = Buffleheads and Common Goldeneye in their usual numbers. Another treat = was to watch a very aggressive Great Blue Heron run off a pair of Mute = Swans attempting to take over the "ponds" at the Point. I just wish the = State was as aggressive in eliminating this pest from the Chesapeake. I = was able to spend all day on the lower Bay and lower Potomac this past = Sunday for the Point Lookout CBC and had great numbers of Northern = Gannett (800+) and Brown Pelican (120+) and Red Throated Loon (80+) all = within the count area. Out of the count area (south of Smith Point) the = #'s were even more impressive but alas not countable. Good Birding, = Marty Cribb, Point Lookout, St Marys Co, Md. =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =========================================================================
