Bought "Birds of the West Indies" , Flieg & Sander while I was in Nassau - $20 there, probably cheaper here. Sibley covers many but not all of the Bahamian birds and it was really convenient to have the West Indies subset handy - it is a small manageable volume of just the birds you are most likely to see. You will have a different selection of birds in the winter I suppose, and more pelagic than land, but I saw the following last June: at sea..... magnificent frigate bird brown noddy sooty tern least tern laughing gull and on land...... grey kingbird western striped tanager bananaquit bahama yellowthroat antillean night hawk bahama woodstar bahama mockingbird northern mockingbird giant lizard cuckoo whitecrowned pigeon collared dove ground dove smooth billed ani green heron kestrel osprey Joe Halloran lowkey@speakeasy.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeff Friedhoffer" To: Sent: Monday, December 31, 2001 6:26 PM Subject: [MDOSPREY] Question about Cruise bird books > In January I will be going on a cruise from Ft.
