MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Although I never used Thayer's listing program, I have been very pleased with Avisys, having used it for 5 or 6 years. I agree with Sherry that it's extremely powerful, user-friendly, and well-designed. Occasionally I have noticed minor bugs and deficiencies, which I have reported to Jerry Blinn; in most cases, those have been corrected in a new release within a couple of months. I use Thayer's Birds of NA (BNA) a great deal, but I had never before noted the point that Sherry made about the Avisys presentation of Thayer pictures being better than that by Thayer itself. The Avisys presentation also allows side-by-side comparison of several Thayer pictures at once, compared with only two at a time in Thayer itself. Yesterday I had 7 winter loon pix on the screen at once, and a few minutes ago I put up 8 winter alcids simultaneously. I don't think you can go wrong choosing Avisys.
