Birds seen this morning on the Potomac River at Great Falls (MD) and from
the riverside trail north of there:

Great Blue Heron
Canada Goose
Wood Duck
Gadwall
American Wigeon
American Black Duck
Mallard
Redhead
Ring-necked Duck
Bufflehead

Downriver in the Lock 6 area:

Common Merganser
Bald Eagle (immature)
Belted Kingfisher

Near Great Falls, 20-25 Black Vultures were hanging around a dumpster
at Old Angler's Inn.
