As we were observing it, it decided to vocalize. We watched it for a period of time, but, had to move because we were in the entrance to the coast guard yard. Other sightings were: at Fort Armistead; Canada Goose,Ring-billed Gull, Herring Gull, Great Black-backed Gull, Starling, American crow, Mallard, Ring-necked Duck, Belted Kingfisher, N. Mockingbird, N. Cardinal, Mourning dove, Blue Jay, Mute swan, House sparrow. Then, at Pekin Road in Anne Arundel Co., we saw Rock Doves, Robin, White-throated Sparrow, Great Blue Heron, red-winged Blackbird, Song sparrow, Carolina Chickadee, Common Grackle, Red-bellied Woodpecker, N. Flicker, E. Bluebird, Red-shouldered Hawk, Kestrel and Dark-eyed Junco. And finally, heading home we saw a Broad-winged hawk perched beside route 32 in Gambrills all in all, a good day. ======================================================================= To leave the MDOsprey list, send e-mail to listserv@home.ease.lsoft.com with the following message in line 1: signoff mdosprey ======================================================================= =========================================================================
