I spent 40 minutes trying to spot the bird which did not show itself. There were 150+ COMMON MERGANSERS, 5 HOODED MERGANSERS, 9 AMERICAN WIDGEONS and a pair of young BALD EAGLES. Later at 1:00 a very distant scoter sp. was spotted for a few minutes but species could not be determined. In the late afternoon the HOODED MERGS had increased to 15 and the BALD EAGLES to 5 (reported by Nancy M. and Ralph C.) They also identified a SURF SCOTER. Will be out there in the a.m. to see what else the front brings in.
