In-Reply-To: <000f01c19646$aad0eae0$81002c42@jett> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Hi folks, Today I was chauffering Larry "Broken Ankle" Zoller around Eastern Neck & environs. Ostensibly, we were looking for a White-fronted Goose, but with Larry stir crazy from having to prop up his foot 24 hours a day, any bird would do. We stopped to check out a flycatcher that turned out to be the Western Kingbird that disappeared in December. It was by itself sitting on a utility wire at the sign to the Ingleside Recreation Area within Eastern Neck (just down the road a bit from Tubby's Cove). We had exceptionally good looks at the bird, which was quite cooperative. Unfortunately, it flushed when another car whizzed past, and it didn't come back. Hey Stasz - by the time we got to Warton, the goose flock was down to a few hundred and the White-fronted was gone. Never did find one. Oh well, guess we'll have to go out again. I'm sure Larry's wife will gladly kick him out of the house again. Kathie Lambert Harwood, MD kbert59@yahoo.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
