Okay...John H. and I thought you might like to see how the 2001
Comps Lists broke down:

Most Productive Months --

To repeat the obvious, the first month of the year produced the
most number of species as everyone scrambled to get a head start
on their new year lists.  April and May brought in the Spring
migrants and provided another big boost.  Interestingly, the four
possible new species in MD were all found in January or February.
In DC, four of five possible new species were found in January,
one in November.
