We were heading for Horsehead and decided to check some of the "sheltered" areas along the way. The grebe was in the marina on Rt. 18 just past the entrance to the condos at Kent Narrows. (One sign says "Slip Owners Only" but a second tells visitors and contractors to check in with the office. So far, the office has been agreeable.) We were there about 8:30-8:45 AM.
