We (being Jim Brighton and myself) also looked for the Ross' Goo= se and Golden Eagle with no luck. Snow on Saturday really put a damper o= n visibility. Also from private property, the owner of the land where I = heard Saw-whet Owl in December, said that he has heard them as recently a= s this last week. Not sure if Saw-whet is on the comp list yet, but this= comes from a creditable source.
