I think that what you remember was a private message from me asking you to be on the lookout for Great Horned and Barred Owls, as we are within the "safe dates" for those two species for the Breeding Bird Atlas. By the way, Bob Ringler will make a presentation about the Breeding Bird Atlas at the Baltimore Bird Club meeting at Cylburn on February 5. He will present information about the history of the Atlas project, the uses of the information gathered, and provide training for people interested in participating in field work. At the meeting people will also be able to sign up to participate by observing in an area of Baltimore or Baltimore County. Anyone interested in learning about the second Maryland Breeding Bird Atlas project or in taking part should plan on attending this meeting.
